Job Description

Job Summary Brad Moore Builders is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an important role within our organization and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and providing financial insight to help keep our projects and business running smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. This position works closely with the General Manager, ownership, project managers, vendors, and other members of the team. Duties Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Manage construction job costing and project financials Manage and track purchase orders (POs) throughout the construction process, ensuring costs are properly coded, approved, and reflected in project financials Manage and track change orders (COs) , including documentation, approvals, pricing, and financial impact on project budgets and contracts Lead the monthly close process, including account reconciliations and financial reporting Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning Monitor project expenses, commitments, invoices, and job costs for accuracy Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely job cost reporting Work directly with Ownership and the General Manager on financial reporting, analysis, and business needs Review financial information, identify discrepancies, and ensure accounting data is accurate and up to date Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors regarding invoices, purchase orders, payments, and account questions Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation Support internal controls, accounting procedures, audits, and tax-related requests Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and overall efficiency Perform other accounting and financial duties as reasonably assigned by the Company Experience Proven accounting experience with a minimum of 5 years in accounting environments (preferably construction related) Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, or equivalent systems Demonstrated proficiency in Excel data analysis including formulas like
VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF
statements, and advanced spreadsheet functions Familiarity with internal audit processes is highly desirable Experience managing accounts payable processes with automation tools like Dext or Gusto Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and journal entry preparation accurately under tight deadlines Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail; strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles along with a solid grasp of financial concepts such as debits & credits, invoice processing, accounts receivable management, and general ledger accounting Compensation & Performance Bonus Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
Performance Bonus:
Following successful completion of the 90-day probationary period, the Senior Accountant will be eligible to participate in the Company's performance bonus program, with a target annual bonus opportunity of $15,000 . Bonus payments are based on established performance metrics and program requirements. The target bonus is an opportunity and is not guaranteed ; actual bonus payments will be determined based on individual and company performance in accordance with the bonus program. This is a full-time, exempt W-2 position reporting directly to the General Manager. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Brad Moore Builders and ensuring our accounting processes remain accurate, organized, and efficient. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
