We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and relationship-oriented professional to support the financial and administrative operations of our Market Center. This position is a great opportunity for either a recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field who is looking to build practical experience, or an experienced bookkeeper with 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience and a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Market Center Administrator / Accounting Coordinator will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing the day-to-day bookkeeping functions of the Market Center, processing agent commissions, ensuring timely payouts, completing the monthly close process, and providing a high level of service and support to our agents. This is a role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, people, and details. The ideal candidate takes ownership of getting things done correctly and on time, communicates clearly, builds strong professional relationships, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for the agents and leadership team they support. Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$50,000 per year Health Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid/Observed Holiday Schedule ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping Own and manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for the Market Center Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions Record, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions Reconcile bank and other financial accounts Process invoices, payments, deposits, and other financial transactions Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation Monitor expenses and assist with budgeting and financial reporting Utilize computerized bookkeeping and accounting systems Identify discrepancies and work to resolve accounting or bookkeeping issues Maintain accurate records and ensure financial and banking activities are completed timely and accurately Handle confidential financial information with discretion Commission Processing & Agent Payouts Process real estate commission transactions accurately and efficiently Review commission documentation for completeness and accuracy Calculate and process agent commission payouts Coordinate commission disbursements and ensure timely and accurate payouts Maintain accurate commission records and supporting documentation Research and resolve commission discrepancies or payment issues Communicate with agents and appropriate parties regarding commission processing and payouts Ensure commission transactions are properly recorded within the accounting system Agent Relationships & Retention Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with agents and Market Center leadership Serve as a responsive, dependable resource for agents regarding accounting, commission, and administrative needs Provide timely communication and follow-through to help create a positive agent experience Develop trust and strong working relationships with agents through professionalism, consistency, and excellent service Support agent satisfaction and retention by helping ensure agents feel supported, informed, and valued Listen to agent questions and concerns and work proactively to identify solutions or connect them with the appropriate resource Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented presence in the Market Center Month-End Close Own and complete the month-end close process for the Market Center within the first three business days of each month Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts as part of the monthly close Review financial activity for accuracy and completeness Ensure all necessary transactions, adjustments, and reconciliations are completed timely Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for the monthly close Identify and resolve discrepancies prior to completion of the close Provide accurate and timely financial information to Market Center leadership Market Center Administration Maintain efficient administrative systems and processes Maintain and manage database systems and records Maintain accurate records related to agents, transactions, and Market Center operations Assist with administrative coordination and general office functions Provide support to the Team Leader and leadership team as needed Assist real estate professionals with administrative and accounting-related questions Maintain office technology and systems Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic technology and system issues Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Market Center Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred; a Business or related degree will also be considered 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience may substitute for a college degree Strong understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Comfortable working with confidential financial information Strong computer and IT skills preferred Ability to learn and work effectively with accounting, database, and business software Real estate office or real estate industry experience is a plus Ability to work well in a structured, deadline-driven environment Solution-oriented attitude and willingness to learn Ability to provide a high level of service and maintain positive relationships with agents and colleagues Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, people, and details and takes ownership of getting things done correctly and on time.
