Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage the company's accounts receivable processes, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate financial records. Your expertise in accounting systems and strong communication skills will help optimize our revenue cycle management and support overall financial health. Duties Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other financial systems to record transactions accurately Conduct data entry with precision, ensuring all billing information is correct and up-to-date Communicate effectively with clients regarding outstanding balances, payment arrangements, and account status through professional phone etiquette and customer service skills Analyze aging reports and perform credit analysis to prioritize collection efforts and reduce overdue accounts Prepare detailed Excel data analysis reports using formulas and spreadsheets to monitor receivables performance Collaborate with the finance team on journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations Experience Proven experience in accounts receivable management or related accounting roles within a corporate or public accounting environment Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, account reconciliation, and revenue cycle management Familiarity with financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems; experience with billing software is a plus Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret Excel spreadsheets and perform Excel data analysis effectively Demonstrated ability in customer service, client communication, negotiation for collections or medical collections is advantageous Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and technical accounting principles Strong math skills including 10 key typing proficiency and attention to detail in data entry tasks Join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist to play a vital role in maintaining our financial integrity while advancing your career in a dynamic environment.
