Type:

full-time A boutique law firm in Newark, NJ, seeks a full-time, in-person professional to serve as its Junior Bookkeeper. Directly reporting to the Managing Partners and Chief Operating Officer of the firm, the Junior Bookkeeper is responsible for the accounting and finance operations of a 30-person, fast-paced law practice. The role has high visibility by and interaction with the C-suite. There is tremendous opportunity for professional growth and future advancement. Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with management of the financial records and transactions of the firm Assisting with monitoring of cash flow and reconciling all firm accounts, including IOLTA and IOLA Assisting with administration of monthly partnership compensation splits Assisting with preparation of monthly Accounts Receivable reports and participating in collection efforts Collaborating with attorneys, partners, and additional key staff members to ensure accurate financial management and reporting Partnering with attorneys and administrative staff for client invoicing, both via invoicing platforms and via direct billing correspondence Keeping abreast of best practices related to the financial health of the firm.

Required Qualifications include:
