Job Description

Overview The Summit's workforce grows between summer and winter, driving a significant seasonal increase in accounts payable volume as well as payroll processing volume tied to a much larger seasonal headcount. The Seasonal Accounting Assistant - AP/Payroll adds capacity to the Accounting team through the winter operating season, with primary responsibility for accounts payable data entry and a secondary, ongoing responsibility supporting payroll data entry and payroll recordkeeping. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and works alongside the Sr. AP Lead, Sr. Payroll Coordinator, and Revenue Auditor, who retain ownership of vendor management, payroll processing and balance sheet reconciliation sign-off, and revenue audit reconciliation. Over the course of the season, this role also cross-trains in revenue audit data entry to provide flexible coverage as departmental needs shift Come work and play at Seattle's home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Excellence in Execution
  • Enters vendor invoices into the accounting system following established coding and approval workflows.
  • Matches invoices to supporting documentation (purchase orders, receiving records) prior to entry. Attitude is Everything
  • Moves between accounts payable, payroll support, and revenue audit tasks as priorities shift, without losing accuracy or missing deadlines.
  • Works collaboratively with the Sr. AP Lead, Sr. Payroll Coordinator, and Revenue Auditor to stay aligned on daily priorities. Serve First
  • Sorts and distributes incoming AP-related mail and email, and responds to routine, non-complex vendor correspondence.
  • Helps address basic employee questions about pay data by directing them to the Sr. Payroll Coordinator or Accounting Manager as needed, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive payroll information Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with high-volume data entry.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage tasks across more than one accounting function.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive payroll and financial information.
  • Must pass background check.

Wage and Benefit Info:
The wage range for this positions is: from $21 to $28/hr All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
