Job Description

Overview The Summit's workforce grows between summer and winter, driving a significant seasonal increase in accounts payable and revenue audit volume. The Seasonal Accounting Assistant - AP/Revenue Audit adds capacity to the Accounting team through the winter operating season, with primary responsibility for accounts payable data entry and a secondary, ongoing responsibility supporting daily revenue audit reconciliation and sales posting. Come work and play at Seattle's home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Excellence in Execution Enters vendor invoices into the accounting system following established coding and approval workflows. Matches invoices to supporting documentation (purchase orders, receiving records) prior to entry. Enters paper and electronic expense reports for review by the Sr. AP Lead. Assists with entering daily cashier tie-out and sales reconciliation data under the direction of the Accounting Clerk/Revenue Auditor. Supports preparation of daily sales postings and assists with preparing daily bank deposits for cash and checks as needed. Maintains paper and electronic AP and revenue audit files in accordance with Company policy. Completes cross-training in payroll data entry and provides support in that function as departmental volume requires. Attitude is Everything Moves between accounts payable, revenue audit, and payroll support tasks as priorities shift, without losing accuracy or missing deadlines. Works collaboratively with the Sr. AP Lead, Accounting Clerk/Revenue Auditor, and Sr. Payroll Coordinator to stay aligned on daily priorities. Serve First Sorts and distributes incoming AP-related mail and email, and responds to routine, non-complex vendor correspondence. Researches and helps resolve basic invoice or sales-record discrepancies, escalating complex issues to the appropriate team member. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with high-volume data entry. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage tasks across more than one accounting function. Must pass background check. Preferred Prior data entry, clerical, cash-handling, or customer service experience. Willingness to learn Microsoft Dynamics Navision and other accounting or POS systems. Wage and Benefit Info:
The wage range for this positions is: from $21 to $28/hr All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
