Job Description
Director of Finance / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Position Summary The Director of Finance / Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for the overall financial health of the company. This position provides strategic financial leadership and hands-on oversight of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, construction accounting, payroll, compliance, risk management, and team leadership. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and partner with ownership on planning and growth.
- Oversee accounting, AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Manage construction accounting including job costing, WIP schedules, progress billings, and contract schedules.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Manage banking relationships, insurance, risk management, audits, and tax coordination.
- Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and develop accounting staff and collaborate with project managers. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- Minimum Three years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Construction accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software. Core Competencies
