Full-Time - 260
Days Salary Range:
$66,625 - $76,875 (Based on Experience)
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Job Summary The Metropolitan School District of Mount Vernon is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Financial Systems Analyst to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting or finance and will be responsible for managing our financial systems, ensuring data accuracy, and providing critical support to the Director of Business. Key Responsibilities Database Management:
Maintain and update the financial systems database to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial data.
Payroll Backup:
Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring that all employee compensation is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Grant Tracking:
Monitor and track grants received by the public school system, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis, generate reports, and provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
Assist CFO:
Collaborate closely with the CFO to support financial operations, budget management, and financial planning.
Data Integrity:
Maintain the integrity and security of financial data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain documentation for financial procedures and policies. Submit Form 9 and other reports to the state.
Tax Filing:
File 1099's, 1095's, W2's, 941's and UCI's.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Proven experience in financial analysis, database management, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. This is a full-time, year-round position (260 days/year), Monday through Friday. The Board of School Trustees reserves the right to waive or modify these specifications.
