FINANCIAL ANALYST
Are you a Financial Analyst who wants to see your numbers actually drive the business? Our client is looking for a Financial Analyst to join a growing, manufacturing company at an exciting point in its evolution. This is a newly created role—and there's already a backlog of analytical work waiting for you. They are experiencing significant growth and is positioning itself to double in size over the next 7-10 years, potentially adding another location along the way. You'll work directly with the Controller and have regular interaction with the CFO, President, Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership. This isn't a "sit in your office and send reports" kind of job. You'll dig into the data, figure out what's happening, understand why it's happening, and help the business decide what to do about it.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
Approximately 50% of this role will focus on costing, making this a particularly strong opportunity for someone with manufacturing cost-accounting experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Analyze product costing and profitability, including Bills of Material, standard costs, burden rates, materials, and outside operations. Analyze underperforming parts and determine what's driving the profitability issues. Work with Sales and other teams to identify parts that need to be requoted or repriced. Perform monthly and quarterly pricing analysis. Partner with Purchasing to ensure the business is working with accurate material and supplier pricing. Build financial models, reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools. Manipulate and analyze large amounts of data to identify trends, opportunities, and problems. Assist with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and other analytical projects. Take on special projects as the business continues to grow. Potentially support portions of month-end reporting and analysis. You'll use Plex ERP, Excel, PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, formulas, and other data-analysis tools. Why This Role Is Different This isn't a sleepy manufacturing company. You'll join a finance team and work closely with leadership across the organization. That means your analysis won't disappear into a spreadsheet. People will use it to make decisions. A Hands-On Culture Our client is looking for someone who is comfortable getting their hands dirty—the finance leadership team isn't afraid to get out of the office, walk the floor, ask questions, dig into a problem, and figure things out. If you enjoy understanding how a manufacturing business actually works—and then connecting what's happening on the floor to what's happening in the financial statements—you'll have plenty to sink your teeth into. What we're looking for in a
