The Senior Credit Analyst - Capital Finance leads complex credit analysis, transaction structuring, and portfolio risk management for capital finance exposures. This role provides independent risk assessment and influences deal structuring to support disciplined capital deployment aligned with the Bank's credit strategy and risk appetite. Responsibilities Credit Analysis & Underwriting Lead comprehensive financial analysis, including cash flow modeling, leverage, liquidity, and capital structure evaluation for complex borrowers and transactions Develop clear, well-supported credit recommendations, articulating key risks, mitigants, and approval rationale Evaluate sponsor support, industry dynamics, and enterprise valuation where applicable Guide preparation of credit memoranda, loan presentations, and credit reviews with decision-ready insights. Prepare high quality loan presentations for the loan committee. Capital Finance Structuring Partner with deal teams to structure capital finance transactions, including advance rates, borrowing base design, and covenant frameworks. Assess collateral quality, liquidation profiles, and concentration risks to inform structure and pricing. Influence transaction terms to optimize risk-adjusted returns while maintaining alignment with credit policy. Provide subject matter expertise on asset-based and structured lending mechanics. Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management Oversee ongoing portfolio performance, including financial trend analysis, covenant compliance, and borrowing base activity. Proactively identify emerging risks and drive recommended actions, including modifications, downgrades, or enhanced monitoring. Evaluate collateral performance and eligibility to ensure integrity of borrowing base structures. Support management of higher-risk or stressed credits, including development of action plans and risk mitigation strategies. Education, Experience, and Other Expectations Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or a business-related field; or equivalent amount of experience. 4-6 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, commercial lending, or bank examination. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, including credit agreements, notes, and corporate organizational documents. Advanced working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, structural risk mitigation, and structural credit mechanics. Understanding of financial accounting principles and advanced three-statement financial modeling. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex credit narratives to loan committees and mentor junior staff. Above-average organizational and time management habits, with a demonstrated ability to independently manage a heavy workflow, balance competing deadlines, and drive projects to timely completion. High proficiency with spreadsheet software (Excel) and modern commercial banking/credit spreading platforms.
