Summary The Accounting Manager serves as a key member of the finance leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This is a hands-on accounting role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with the details while helping guide the company's financial direction. Working closely with the CFAO, this role supports strategic decision making by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. Essential Job Functions The Accounting Manager assists the CFAO with a variety of finance and accounting responsibilities, including daily accounting operations, general ledger oversight, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements. This role also supports forecasting, variance analysis, financial presentations for ownership and the board, departmental operations, and companywide projects. Previous accounting experience required
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Demonstrated success in improving financial processes and supporting strategic initiatives
Strong communication, integrity, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach Supervisory Responsibilities This position is responsible for observing, directing, coaching, and helping to resolve departmental issues.
This position will conduct training and help implement and enforce systems, policies, and procedures. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. G.E.D. 2.
Four years of general ledger accounting experience required. Preferred Experience 1. Some college experience preferred. Additional Eligibility Requirements None required for this position.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
