Compensation:
$110,000 - $135,000

Full Benefits Package Position Overview A growing service-based organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This hands-on role is responsible for operational accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Analyze financial data and investigate account variances. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. Coordinate external audits and assist with tax compliance. Monitor cash flow and banking activity. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency. Partner with operational leaders to support business objectives. Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Previous Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar leadership experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience managing month-end close and reconciliations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems and accounting software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience within service, transportation, field services, construction, manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries. Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
