Provides direction and guidance on daily audits, supervises, trains guides and assists Revenue Audit staff. Assign audit tasks to auditors in accordance with their skill levels in order to obtain maximum efficiency and coverage Develops revenue audit checklists and writing policies and procedures for various audits. Follow the revenue auditors' daily checklists to ensure all daily revenue audit steps are completed for Audit Slots, Table Games, Food & Beverage, and Casino Cage. Reconcile errors and record corrections using proper documentation; prepare journal entries and record financial information. Review and follow up on audit exceptions issued by staff. Assist in updating and reviewing the Flash Report daily. Ensure compliance with existing internal and external income control policies and procedures. Report income control violations to the appropriate department and recommend corrective action. Monitor and report all items that do not fall within sound auditing or accounting procedures. Trains, assesses, and reviews the job performance of staff. Prepares the schedules and duties of revenue auditors. Schedules and coordinates recurring functions such as month-end inventory counts and observations. Assist internal and independent auditors as required. Establishes and maintains files and records, and ensure all revenue-related documents are safeguarded. Completes assigned reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and gaming policies and procedures. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all Team Members. Maintain a priority system in accepting other position-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Have the ability to work effectively with Native American people in culturally diverse environments. Have the ability to manage time well and work under stressful conditions with an even temperament. Have the ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees and the public. Have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or G.E.D. Two (2) years' experience in accounting (preferred). Oasis slot audit software and audit experience (preferred). Must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite. Must have excellent computer knowledge and be able to type at least 40 wpm. 10-key by touch. Ability to create, organize, and disseminate data to authorized entities in the required format. Good organizational and planning skills. Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English. Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and be insurable by the RRC's insurance carrier. Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required. Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position. Must adhere to the confidentiality policy. Must successfully pass a drug screening test and criminal background check. Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process. The Revenue Audit Supervisor reports to the Chief Financial Officer and provides direction and guidance on all daily audits, supervises, trains, guides and assists Revenue Audit staff, and ensuring all audit programs are completed daily. The Revenue Audit Supervisor performs numerous audit and financial reporting functions, including the preparation of journal entries, auditing functions, and recording financial information.
