Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Salary:
Based on Skills & Experience Position Overview The Accounting & HR Manager takes complete operational ownership of the daily financial health and human resources administration of our New Haven facility. This hybrid role balances full-cycle bookkeeping, operational inventory reconciliation within SAP Business One, and the complete employee lifecycle.
Prepare daily sales, verify shipments, deposit funds, and apply cash receipts to customer accounts.
Accounts Payable:
Generate purchase orders, verify vendor invoice accuracy against receivers, and prepare check payments for GM approval.
General Ledger & Month-End:
Journalize prepays, depreciation, inventory fluctuations, and accruals. Reconcile all cash, AP, AR, and prepay accounts to the GL.
Financial Reporting:
Compile monthly balance sheets and profit & loss (P&L) statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
Inventory Control:
Monitor inventory balances against physical counts, process SAP transactions, and audit bills of materials for cost accuracy.
Tax Compliance:
Monitor and ensure timely, accurate payments for local, state (MO), federal, use, and payroll taxes.
External Advisory & Audit:
Serves as the primary internal point of contact for the company's third-party accounting firm; interfaces with external CPAs throughout the year for guidance on complex accounting treatments and compiles comprehensive year-end financial records to support the annual audit.
Human Resources & Payroll Management Payroll Processing:
Monitor timecard entries, audit approvals, adjust deductions/increases, and submit finalized payroll data following GM approval.
Payroll Accounting:
Journalize and track all monthly payroll expenses, including labor, deductions, and tax allocations.
Employee Onboarding:
Lead new hire orientation, manage tax/insurance forms, and distribute the company handbook.
Benefits Administration:
Enroll employees in health insurance, LTD, life insurance, and 401(k) programs securely and timely.
Employee Relations & Offboarding:
Support day-to-day employee relations, complete termination paperwork, and maintain audit-ready personnel files.
SAP Administration & Workplace Safety SAP Optimization:
Implement and monitor SAP procedures to ensure data entry accuracy across departments.
Data & Analytics:
Assist and train team members on SAP navigation and extract operational data via system queries.
Workplace Safety:
Adhere strictly to alljob safety requirements and operational guidelines.
Operational Support:
Serves as the primary backup for inbound facility phone calls during high-volume periods or when Customer Service personnel are fully engaged. This includes, but not limited to, entering orders and responding to customer inquiries. Performs other cross-functional tasks and administrative projects as assigned by management.
Role Requirements & Qualifications Education:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent verified work experience of 5+ years).
Software Expertise:
Proven hands-on experience using SAP Business One (or similar ERP system) is required as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook.

Logistics:
Ability to work reliably on-site in New Haven, MO Monday through Thursday, with a dedicated home workspace for Fridays.
