A local accounting office in the Corning, NY area is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer to join their team. This position involves tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll support, and managing client workflow during busy tax seasons. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining an efficient first-in/first-out workflow process.

Responsibilities:

Prepare individual and business tax returns Perform bookkeeping and accounting duties Process payroll and maintain financial records Manage workflow between appointments, dropped-off tax documents, and uploaded client files Organize and track tax preparation status and deadlines Communicate professionally with clients regarding tax and accounting information Maintain accurate and confidential financial records

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation experience Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Experience using TaxWise software preferred Strong organizational and workflow management skills Ability to multitask during busy tax seasons Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred Equal Opportunity Statement Express Employment Professionals is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
