POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to provide strategic financial leadership across hospital and multispecialty physician group operations. This role will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reimbursement analysis, payer analytics, and performance reporting while serving as a key financial partner to the CFO, executive leadership, and operational teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and reporting.
- Develop financial models supporting strategic and operational decisions.
- Partner with executives, clinical departments, and operational leaders on financial strategy.
- Analyze financial and operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead reimbursement modeling, payer analytics, managed care evaluation, and revenue optimization.
- Evaluate hospital and physician group costs, reimbursement trends, and financial performance.
- Prepare financial analyses and presentations for executive and board-level discussions.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CFO and executive leadership.
- Leverage ERP, budgeting, decision-support, and analytics systems to improve reporting.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 7-10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- 2-3+ years of hospital, health system, or multispecialty physician financial experience strongly preferred.
- Master's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Advanced financial modeling, analysis, and data analytics skills.
- Strong knowledge of hospital financial operations and healthcare reimbursement.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement.
- Experience with reimbursement modeling, payer analytics, and managed care evaluation.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for executives.
- Experience with ERP, budgeting/forecasting, and financial decision-support systems.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Maryland hospital or healthcare financial experience.
- Familiarity with HSCRC and Global Budget Revenue (GBR).
- Chargemaster and/or physician fee schedule management.
- CPA, CFA, or HFMA certification.
- Lean Six Sigma or structured performance improvement experience.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $180,000-$200,000+ annual salary.
