Hybrid flexibility. Clinical support that meets you where you are. Natural Behavioral Solutions is looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our clinician-led East Bay team. This is a full-time hybrid BCBA position combining in-home clinical services with remote clinical work when appropriate. BCBAs at NBS typically oversee approximately 6-8 clients, giving you the opportunity to actually know your clients, families, and treatment teams while having enough time for thoughtful programming, meaningful supervision, caregiver collaboration, and data-based clinical decision-making. Whether you are newly certified and looking for strong clinical mentorship or an experienced BCBA looking for greater autonomy with a supportive clinical team behind you, we welcome you to apply. Position at a

Glance Pay:

$55

  • 66/hour based on experience and qualifications, with an option to transition to salaried compensation.
Schedule:

Full-time, Monday-Friday. Client services are provided within a 9:00 AM-6:00 PM service window. No weekends. No client services after 6:00 PM.

Caseload:

Approximately 6-8 clients, based on clinical complexity, authorized services, geography, and supervisory needs.

Work Model:

Hybrid. In-person responsibilities include client homes and community settings throughout your assigned East Bay service area. Clinical responsibilities that may be completed remotely when appropriate include:

  • Treatment planning
  • Data review and analysis
  • Clinical documentation
  • Progress reports
  • Program development
  • Clinical team collaboration
  • Virtual meetings
  • Caregiver collaboration when clinically appropriate
  • Other indirect clinical responsibilities This is not a fully remote position.

Candidates must reside in California and be able to reliably travel to clients within their assigned East Bay service area. Why BCBA Work at NBS? A Caseload You Can Actually Know We intentionally maintain manageable BCBA caseloads. With approximately 6-8 clients, you have the opportunity to remain meaningfully involved in treatment rather than being stretched across a high-volume caseload.

That means more time for:
  • Thoughtful programming
  • Data analysis
  • Staff coaching
  • Caregiver collaboration
  • Clinical problem-solving
  • Treatment modifications
  • Generalization
  • Meaningful client outcomes We want our BCBAs to know their clients—not simply recognize their names on a caseload list.

Hybrid Flexibility Not every BCBA responsibility needs to happen inside a client's home. When clinically appropriate, indirect clinical responsibilities can be completed remotely. We want BCBAs spending their in-person time where it has the greatest clinical value while also having flexibility to complete treatment planning, analysis, documentation, and other clinical work remotely when appropriate. Newly Certified BCBAs Are Welcome Passing the BCBA exam is the beginning of your development as a clinician—not the end. Newer BCBAs at NBS have access to experienced clinical leadership and mentorship in areas such as:

  • Clinical judgment
  • Treatment planning
  • Assessment and reassessment
  • Data-based decision-making
  • Behavior intervention planning
  • Caregiver training
  • BT/RBT supervision and coaching
  • Complex behavior
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Funder requirements
  • Professional development We want to help newer BCBAs grow into confident, thoughtful, independent clinicians.

Experienced BCBAs Have Autonomy Experienced clinicians are trusted to lead their cases. You will still have access to peer consultation, clinical leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development when another perspective or additional support would be valuable. Our Clinical Approach Natural Behavioral Solutions was founded and continues to be led by clinicians.

Our clinical model emphasizes:
  • Individualized treatment
  • Evidence-based ABA
  • Compassionate care
  • Assent and learner autonomy
  • Trauma-informed practices
  • Social-emotional development
  • Functional communication
  • Caregiver partnership
  • Meaningful independence
  • Generalization into everyday life
  • Respect for boundaries and appropriate refusal
  • Data-informed clinical decision-making
  • Continuous evaluation of whether treatment is meaningfully benefiting the learner We want BCBAs who are willing to think critically about not only whether an intervention can change behavior, but whether the goals we are teaching are meaningful for the person receiving services. What You'll Do As an NBS BCBA, you will:
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments and reassessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Create skill-acquisition programming and function-based behavior intervention plans.
  • Analyze client data and make timely clinical modifications.
  • Provide supervision, modeling, feedback, and real-time coaching to BTs/RBTs.
  • Conduct clinical overlaps and treatment-team meetings.
  • Provide meaningful caregiver training and collaboration.
  • Support generalization across home, school, community, and naturally occurring environments.
  • Develop clear clinical teaching instructions and staff resources.
  • Collaborate with schools, therapists, physicians, funders, and other members of the care team when appropriate.
  • Complete progress reports, clinical documentation, and funder requirements.
  • Support communication, social-emotional development, adaptive skills, behavior reduction, independence, and meaningful quality-of-life outcomes.
  • Promote assent, communication, choice, appropriate refusal, dignity, and learner autonomy throughout treatment.
  • Participate in case consultation, professional development, continuing education, and company-supported training. Who We're Looking For You must:
  • Hold current BCBA certification in good standing.
  • Reside in California.
  • Be available full-time Monday-Friday with availability during our 9:00 AM-6:00 PM service window.
  • Be able to reliably travel to client homes and community locations within your assigned East Bay service area.
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers, BTs/RBTs, supervisors, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Be committed to ethical, individualized, client-centered ABA. Newly certified BCBAs are encouraged to apply. Experience with in-home ABA, caregiver training, complex behavior, social-emotional programming, assent-based care, or trauma-informed practices is helpful but not required for every candidate. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation & Benefits $69
