1 Middle School Assignment Tracy, CA $34/hour | Full-Time | ASAP Start ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician for a full-time, 1:1 school-based assignment in Tracy, California. This is a high-intensity behavioral support position working with a middle school student who presents with severe physical aggression and other significant behavioral needs. This is not an entry-level assignment. We are looking for someone who has direct experience supporting students with serious physical behaviors and who is physically capable of safely working in a demanding 1:1 environment. Position Details Tracy, CA $34/hour Full-time, Monday-Friday 1:1 middle school assignment ASAP start W-2 employment School-based position What Youll Be Doing Providing consistent 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day Supporting a student who may display severe physical aggression, escalation, elopement, property destruction, or other high-intensity behaviors Recognizing early signs of escalation and responding proactively Using approved de-escalation and crisis-prevention techniques Following the students behavior plan and established safety procedures Maintaining close supervision during transitions, classroom activities, and unstructured periods Collecting behavioral data and communicating patterns to the BCBA and school team Supporting replacement behaviors, functional communication, coping skills, and emotional regulation Maintaining a calm and professional approach during aggressive or highly escalated situations Working closely with teachers, BCBAs, administrators, and other support staff Ideal Candidate Has direct experience working with severe physical aggression Is comfortable with an intensive 1:1 behavioral assignment Is physically capable of safely performing the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation Has experience with de-escalation, crisis prevention, and safety procedures Can remain calm, confident, and consistent during challenging behaviors Understands personal safety, positioning, boundaries, and behavioral protocols Is reliable and comfortable working with a student who requires constant supervision Preferred Qualifications Active RBT certification preferred Experienced Behavior Technicians are also encouraged to apply CPI, Safety-Care, PCM, Handle With Care, Pro-ACT, or similar training strongly preferred Previous school-based or special education experience Previous 1:1 experience Experience supporting students with autism, emotional/behavioral disabilities, or intensive behavioral needs ProCare Therapy Offers $34/hour Weekly pay Medical, dental, vision, and additional insurance options Matching 401(k) W-2 employment Dedicated recruiter support Candidates should apply only if they are comfortable working in a high-intensity environment where severe physical aggression may occur and have the experience necessary to safely support the student and school team.
