Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team. In this role, you will support children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, by implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect, record, and analyze behavioral data to track client progress and support treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to encourage independence. Support the development of communication, social, and adaptive skills through structured teaching and play-based activities. Maintain accurate session notes, behavioral data, and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies. Work collaboratively with supervisors, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective treatment plans. Utilize positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques to promote a safe and supportive learning environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to ABA practices, behavioral health, and data collection procedures. Adhere to all confidentiality, safety, and client care standards. Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral intervention techniques. Completion of the 40-hour RBT training (RBT certification preferred but not required depending on role). Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder, is highly preferred. Ability to assist with daily living skills (ADLs) including feeding, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques. Ability to accurately collect and document behavioral data during sessions. Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting individuals with special needs. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality.
