Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols. Take high-quality dental x-rays and utilize 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) system (Dentrix), ensuring all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient care. Provide exceptional patient management by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records with utmost professionalism. Experience (Preferred) Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, dental instrument processing, and aseptic technique is essential. Familiarity with dental equipment such as dental x-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools is required. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assist during procedures and document patient information. Experience using Dentrix to schedule appointments, update records, and facilitate smooth clinic operations. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices to uphold the highest standards of safety and sterilization procedures.
