Duties

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Take dental x-rays
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform dental charting and update patient records using Dentrix software
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment system
• Assist with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, filing, and billing Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• X-ray certification
• Proficiency in Dentrix or dental software systems
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
