Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring a seamless patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, familiarity with dental and medical terminology, and experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk, including multi-line phone systems and patient check-in/check-out procedures Schedule appointments using dental office management software Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle financial transactions accurately Maintain and update patient records Assist with clinical procedures by preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, and providing chairside support as needed Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient information Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records Provide excellent patient service through effective communication, phone etiquette, and clerical support Support clinic operations by assisting with care plans, medical office management tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment Requirements Bilingual Spanish and English speaker Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and data entry accuracy (10 key typing) Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion for patients Desire to learn new skills- will be cross trained as dental assistant and front desk/admin role This position offers a dynamic work environment where clinical support meets administrative excellence.
