Certification X-Ray Certification Dental x-ray Organizational skills Full Job Description Bitty Bites Pediatric Dentistry is looking for an experienced, confident, and compassionate Restorative Dental Assistant to join our team. We are seeking someone who is comfortable working chairside with the doctor during restorative procedures and can confidently anticipate the doctor's needs while helping create a positive experience for our young patients and their families. If you're an experienced dental assistant who enjoys restorative dentistry, works well in a fast-paced environment, and loves working with children, we'd love to meet you! What You'll Do Assist the doctor chairside during a variety of restorative procedures. Confidently assist with fillings, crowns, extractions, and other restorative treatment . Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures. Anticipate the doctor's needs and efficiently pass instruments and materials. Take and develop digital radiographs as needed. Assist with local anesthesia setup and restorative procedure preparation. Prepare restorative materials, impression materials, crowns, and other dental supplies. Provide suction and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment field. Assist with post-operative instructions and patient/family education. Accurately document treatment and maintain patient records. Follow OSHA, CDC, and infection-control standards. Properly sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Help maintain inventory and ensure necessary clinical supplies are stocked. Create a calm, positive, and supportive environment for children who may be anxious about dental treatment. What We're Looking For 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred. Strong experience assisting with restorative dentistry . Comfortable assisting with fillings, crowns, and extractions . Pediatric dental experience is a strong plus . Current CPR certification. X-ray certification/licensure as required by Virginia. Excellent chairside assisting skills and the ability to anticipate the doctor's needs. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Dependable, professional, and able to work well as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric dental environment. A positive attitude and genuine love for working with children.
