Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Pediatric Dentist, providing exceptional oral healthcare to our young patients while working a flexible schedule of just four days per month. We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional passionate about pediatric dentistry and committed to patient-centered care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive pediatric dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques. Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy. Utilize advanced dental software systems like Eaglesoft for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Communicate effectively with young patients and their guardians, explaining diagnoses and treatment plans clearly to foster trust and understanding. Collaborate with the dental team to coordinate care, including dental fabrication and integration of dental implants or endodontic procedures when necessary. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric dentistry best practices, medical terminology, and emerging technologies to enhance patient outcomes. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialization or certification in pediatric dentistry. Proven experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry with a focus on children's oral health; prior experience with dental office or clinic environments is preferred. Proficiency in dental software platforms in Eaglesoft for charting and medical records management. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, and other specialized procedures for children. Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare diagnosis protocols. Excellent client communication skills to educate families about dental health, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, orthodontic adjustments, and other complex procedures efficiently and safely. Commitment to adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records in accordance with legal requirements.
