Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise will encompass a wide range of procedures, from routine examinations to complex treatments, all delivered with compassion and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be proactive in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution, while maintaining strict adherence to healthcare regulations and infection control standards. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans. Conduct general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics. Execute advanced treatments including dental implants, oral surgery, root canal therapy (endodontics), orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry as needed. Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret medical imaging results to diagnose dental conditions accurately. Maintain precise medical documentation and update electronic health records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care while fostering a welcoming environment. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency. Stay current with industry best practices by participating in continuing education related to healthcare diagnosis, dental terminology, and emerging technologies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical records and patient privacy. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry with current certification in good standing. Proven experience in general dentistry within a busy dental clinic environment. Proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry preferred. Familiarity with dental fabrication techniques and medical imaging interpretation is advantageous. Ability to communicate clearly with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and state healthcare regulations related to patient confidentiality and documentation.
