Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans. Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Utilize advanced dental software, Dentrix Ascend for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures. Use medical imaging tools to diagnose dental conditions accurately and plan appropriate treatments. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions in clear dental terminology. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain detailed medical records, including dental diagnosis, treatment notes, and progress reports in accordance with healthcare standards. Assist in dental fabrication processes such as crowns or bridges when necessary. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices through ongoing education and training. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry. Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and healthcare diagnosis protocols. Proficiency in performing complex procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, prosthodontics (crowns & bridges). Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly and empathetically. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive medical information discreetly. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and understanding of anatomy for accurate diagnosis.
