We are seeking dedicated Maryland-licensed mental health professionals to provide school-based counseling and behavioral health services throughout Prince George's County. Position Summary The school-based Mental Health Therapist provides direct mental health services to students within school settings, helping address emotional, behavioral, social, and academic challenges. The therapist will collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community partners to support student success and well-being. This independent contractor position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student wellness while maintaining flexibility and professional independence. Key Responsibilities Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to students. Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, counselors, and parents. Participate in Student Support Team, IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate. Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary. Monitor treatment progress and outcomes. Adhere to HIPAA, FERPA, district policies, and professional ethical standards. Required Qualifications Active Maryland license in good standing, including:

LCPC LCSW-C LGPC

(approved for supervision) (supervision provided) LMSW (approved for supervision) (supervision provided) Education and skills: Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Experience providing services to children, adolescents, and families. Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills. Ability to successfully pass all required background clearances. Preferred Qualifications Prior school-based mental health experience. Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions. Knowledge of Prince George's County schools and communities. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Compensation $50.00 to $60.00 per hour, based on licensure, qualifications, and experience.
