This is a patient-facing position for someone who enjoys helping people, is comfortable discussing treatment and finances, and can confidently navigate medical and dental insurance. As a Treatment Coordinator, you will be an important part of the patient experience—from the initial consultation through scheduling treatment and helping patients understand their financial responsibility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Responsibilities Review provider operative notes for accuracy and ensure procedures documented match services performed and billed. Answer phones, assist patients, and provide professional and compassionate customer service. Schedule consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments according to provider guidelines. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, calculate estimated coverage, and determine patient financial responsibility. Review treatment plans, costs, insurance estimates, and financial responsibilities with patients. Discuss payment and financing options and assist patients with the process as needed. Submit and follow up on insurance pre-authorizations and predeterminations. Maintain accurate patient information, treatment plans, insurance details, and updates within the EHR/patient management system. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable privacy requirements. Work closely with providers, clinical staff, and the administrative team to coordinate patient care and treatment. Skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional and compassionate patient interaction Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable discussing treatment costs and finances with patients Knowledge of dental and medical insurance, benefits, and pre-authorizations Ability to calculate insurance estimates and patient responsibility Strong phone and scheduling skills Computer proficiency and experience with dental/EHR software Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about delivering outstanding patient care through organized, efficient support.
