• Job Summary:

• We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team.

The ideal candidate will provide direct care and support to our residents, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and attention. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for supporting our residents with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and ensuring their overall well-being.

• Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a sense of community and social interaction.
• Support children with intellectual disabilities.
• Assist with vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature checks, as required.
• Help residents with ADLs, including meal preparation, medication administration and personal care.
• Drive residents to appointments or outings, as needed.
• Perform first aid as necessary.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure that all resident needs are met.
• Document resident care and progress, as required.

• Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to provide direct care and support to residents.
• Knowledge of vital signs and first aid is required.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, if applicable.
• Compassionate and patient attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
