The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care, particularly in environments such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or home health settings. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and comfort of clients while ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Monitor and document changes in clients' physical and emotional conditions through patient observation. Support individuals with dementia care and those on the autism spectrum by employing appropriate communication techniques and behavioral strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy. Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility or transfers. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to implement care plans effectively. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following established health and safety protocols. Skills Experience in group home settings or assisted living facilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies for working with individuals with autism. Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in health status or behavior. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
