Technician:

Maintain 3000+ square feet of clean, functional, and organized laboratory space including organization and storage of hardware and test equipment. Prepare and set up instrumentation, including fabricating cable assemblies for laboratory and field testing. Troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems (3D printers, laser cutter, and general shop tools). Support project with hardware fabrication and assembly. Order and maintain stock of laboratory equipment, materials, and supplies. Maintain accurate accounts of time, labor, materials, and equipment for work performed. Prepare oral and written reports as necessary. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. In-depth understanding of hardware and system assembly, 3D printing. Familiarity with the safe operation of power tools, band saws, and other shop tools. Operate a variety of specialized electronic testing equipment in a safe and effective manner. Technician Preferences Technical training, or a related field, preferred. Positive attitude and excellent communication in order to facilitate smooth collaboration with multiple technical project teams. Proficient with 3D printing, power and precision tools, general shop tools. Experience with bench top soldering equipment (solder iron and surface mount soldering).
