LPN 13 week travel contract
Job Description
Procare USA, founded in 2011, is a full-service medical recruiting and staffing agency that partners with nurses and allied health professionals to place them in travel contracts, per diem shifts, and permanent positions while supporting high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Provide direct, compassionate patient care in accordance with established care plans and facility policies. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document medication administration accurately. Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in patient condition; report significant changes to supervising RN or provider. Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other routine nursing procedures per protocol. Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility) and promote patient independence. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care. Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic health record and complete required documentation for shifts and handoffs. Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times. Provide patient and family education regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions as appropriate. Required skills Current, active LPN/LVN license in the practice state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred based on unit. Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills. Proficient documentation skills and comfort using electronic health record systems. Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Good time management, prioritization, and the ability to work in fast-paced settings. Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles. Basic computer literacy and ability to learn facility-specific systems and workflows. Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred (such as long-term care, med-surg, clinic, or other relevant settings). Current BLS/CPR certification; unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS) may be required or preferred. Up-to-date immunizations, TB screening, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings per facility requirements. Ability to perform physical tasks required by the role, including lifting or transferring patients per facility policy. Willingness to complete facility orientation, credentialing, and any competency validations prior to assignment start.
