This is NOT a W-2 employment position and there is no hourly wage or salary. This opportunity is for an independent massage therapist who wants to lease a private space, operate their own business, set their own schedule and rates, and build their own clientele. Why The Grid? The Grid is home to 40+ independent personal trainers , all of whom operate their own training businesses and have established client bases. Every day, our trainers work with people focused on strength, fitness, performance, recovery and overall health. Many of those clients could benefit from massage therapy and recovery services. By operating your massage business inside The Grid, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with our trainers, become a trusted resource for their clients, and grow your business within an already-established fitness community. We do not guarantee clients or referrals. However, there is significant opportunity for the right therapist who is willing to network, build relationships and provide an excellent service. The ideal person is entrepreneurial, professional and motivated to grow their own business . You should be comfortable developing relationships with trainers and clients and understand that building a successful practice requires providing excellent service and actively growing your clientele. A therapist specializing in sports massage, deep tissue, recovery, mobility or working with active populations would be an especially strong fit for our community. Requirements Current massage therapy certification/credentials required to legally practice in California Current CPR/AED certification Professional liability insurance Ability to operate as an independent/self-employed massage therapist Reliable and professional Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable networking and developing referral relationships Sports massage, deep tissue and/or recovery-focused experience preferred
