We're looking for an energetic, dependable Medical Assistant who enjoys working directly with patients and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs Document patient history and update electronic medical records (EMR) Assist physicians with examinations and procedures Administer vaccines and injections within scope of practice Perform EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, prior authorization requirements, and coverage for office and urgent care visits Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances in accordance with clinic policies Educate patients regarding their insurance coverage and estimated financial responsibility Answer patient phone calls and portal messages Assist with medication refills and prior authorizations Schedule appointments and provide patient education Maintain HIPAA compliance and excellent documentation Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Medical Assistant diploma or certificate Current CPR/BLS certification Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic Comfortable using electronic medical records Preferred CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification 1+ year of experience in primary care, family medicine, urgent care, or internal medicine Experience with phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, vaccinations, and insurance eligibility verification What We Offer Competitive hourly pay starting at $23.00 per hour Performance bonuses Paid time off Paid holidays Continuing education opportunities Uniform allowance Supportive physician-led team Modern clinic with excellent work environment Opportunities for professional growth as the clinic expands The Ideal Candidate You are compassionate, dependable, organized, and enjoy building relationships with patients.
