In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure seamless patient experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment committed to excellence. We are a small, private podiatry office with 2 providers. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure smooth check-in processes Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout visits Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and medical history updates Support medical procedures Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas in accordance with safety standards Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating follow-up appointments, and facilitating referrals when necessary Qualifications Prior experience in outpatient clinics or hospital environments is highly preferred, but not required Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient care, but is not required and can train on the job Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray tech or ICD coding are advantageous Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient record management Ability to perform clinical tasks Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in healthcare while making a meaningful difference.
