1 Job Summary We are seeking a Certified Inpatient Coder for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have inpatient coding experience and a strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT coding principles. Requirements 2+ years of experience required. Must hold a current coding certification: CPC, CCS, or CCA . Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT coding principles. Ability to efficiently navigate an EHR and identify documentation required for accurate code assignment. Strong understanding of diagnostic and procedural terminology and disease processes. Ability to meet departmental productivity and accuracy requirements. Key Responsibilities Completely and accurately code episodes of inpatient care. Review and utilize available clinical documentation to support accurate code assignment. Abstract required data elements for computer entry. Secure all available information before coding to ensure the highest degree of accuracy. Follow up on coding issues and documentation gaps as needed. Stay current with coding changes, guidelines, and mandatory education. Communicate documentation needs or other issues that may affect timely coding to the supervisor. Maintain required coding certifications. Maintain punctual and consistent attendance in accordance with hospital policy. Schedule 5 days per week | 8-hour day shifts | 40 hours/week TSHL01

Pay:

$28.00

•$34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
