Register and check in patients on arrival 2. Check out patients on leaving 3. Answer and triage phone calls 4. Scan and distribute faxes as appropriate 5. Scan EKGs, medical documents, and echocardiogram reports to EHR 6. Fax office visit letters to primary care providers 7. Communicate with other medical offices to obtain medical records and images 8. Verify insurance information
Qualifications/competencies:
1. Demonstrate skill in using computer programs and applications including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic health record 2. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with coworkers 3. Interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds for the purpose of making families and patients comfortable in our office Summary As a Medical Receptionist, you will be essential in providing administrative support within our medical office environment. Your primary responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, handling phone call triage, interacting with referring physician offices, and assisting with maintaining accurate medical records.
