American Family Care is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality urgent and primary care in our busy walk-in clinic. In this role, you will independently evaluate patients of all ages, perform exams, order and interpret labs and x-rays, diagnose and treat acute and minor emergent conditions, and manage common chronic diseases. You'll work with a collaborative clinical team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment that emphasizes accessibility, respect, and clinical excellence, with opportunities for training and professional growth across AFC's expanding national network. Responsibilities Provide urgent and primary care evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages Perform focused histories, physical exams, and formulate differential diagnoses Order, interpret, and act on lab tests and x-ray studies using on-site services Treat acute illnesses, minor injuries, and manage common chronic conditions Perform procedures such as wound care, splinting, and suturing as appropriate Document care accurately and efficiently in the EMR system Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans Support occupational medicine services, including work-related exams when needed Uphold AFC standards for patient-centered care, safety, and clinical quality Required Skills Patient assessment and diagnosis Urgent care and minor emergency treatment Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Chronic disease management Wound care and suturing Occupational medicine services Patient and family education Clinical decision-making and triage Collaboration with physicians and clinical staff
