- APP - Hospitalist Opportunity
Location:
Fort Madison, IA- Full-time APP - Hospitalist opportunity in Fort Madison, IA
- Join an established Hospitalist team in a supportive, collaborative environment
- High degree of autonomy in practice with support from an onsite Internal Medicine physician
- 7-on/7-off schedule with 168 shifts per year, providing two additional weeks off annually
- Responsibilities include admissions, discharges, and rounding
- Collaborate closely with nursing, social work, the Emergency Department, and other specialties
- Strong team atmosphere with an emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie
- Supportive administration with an open-door approach that values physician and APP input
- Opportunity to provide high-quality care in a community-focused setting Compensation & Benefits
- $154,000+ annual compensation
- $15,000 commencement bonus
- 168 shifts per year compared with the typical 182-shift schedule
- Two additional weeks off per year

- Fair rotation of shift coverage

- 380-bed independent and financially stable health system
- One physician and one APP typically cover an average of 25-30 patients
- 24/7 board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians provide ER coverage
- No ICU coverage required
- Procedures are optional
