Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Primary Care We are an established, physician-led medical practice seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our primary care team. We are seeking an experienced clinician who is comfortable independently managing adult primary-care patients and who values high-quality, responsive and personable patient care. Responsibilities The NP/PA will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including: Independently evaluate and manage established patients Perform new-patient evaluations Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions Manage conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and other common primary-care problems Review laboratory and diagnostic results and develop appropriate treatment plans Discuss test results and treatment options directly with patients Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate Provide preventive care and routine health maintenance Coordinate care with physicians and specialists when appropriate Respond promptly to patient messages, laboratory results and clinical follow-up needs Complete documentation and patient-care responsibilities in a timely manner Clinical Experience Required At least one year of recent primary-care clinical experience is required. Candidates should have meaningful experience independently evaluating, diagnosing and managing adult primary-care patients. The ideal candidate should be comfortable making routine clinical decisions independently while recognizing when physician consultation or specialist referral is appropriate. Patient Schedule and Productivity The practice uses a structured outpatient schedule designed to provide appropriate time for both established and new patients. The expectation is that an experienced provider will be able to manage this patient volume while maintaining high standards of clinical care, appropriate documentation and timely follow-up of laboratory results and patient messages. Qualifications Current New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility for New Jersey licensure Appropriate prescriptive authority and registrations as required Minimum one year of primary-care clinical experience Experience independently managing adult primary-care patients Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a physician-led medical practice Compensation and Benefits Base salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for a productivity-based bonus.
