We are looking for a PA/NP to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices in our fast-paced, integrated medical office. As an advanced practice registered nurse, you'll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. The job description of a physician assistant/nurse practitioner includes conducting physical and orthopedic examinations, a variety of injections (joint, trigger point, knee, CTS, trigger finger, and others) interpreting lab tests, managing/ordering medical weight loss, allergy testing and treatment (can be taught), botox/filler injections (can be sent for certification) and overseeing patients' health. You'll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. This is a great opportunity to learn new procedures and make some extra income. You will start working two days per week, with the possibility of adding additional days in the future. This is an out patient practice. No nights, no on-call, no weekends, also no holidays. Experience in injections is a plus, but not required. We will provide training on these exciting, new procedures. As the medical provider, you'll have to work closely with our Chiropractors and other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, coachability, willingness to learn, desire to grow, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important. Responsibilities Examine patients and their medical records Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.) Diagnose health conditions and illnesses Propose treatments for patients in pain (injections, conservative care, DME, etc.) Prescribe medications Maintain accurate records and schedules Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications Educate patients and their family members on diseases, and prevention Oversee patients' overall health Promote good health practices Advance professional knowledge and conduct research Skills Proven experience as PA/NP in a clinic, hospital, orthopedic, ER or other setting, fresh out of school is an option Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices Knowledge of health and patient care regulations Excellent communication skills Strong ethics Team spirit with a positive attitude Patience and cool-headedness Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience Valid nurse practitioner license Master's degree; PhD is a plus
