St. Catherine Hospital is actively seeking motivated, caring individuals for our Nurse Assistant Trainee Program — a 5‑week paid training program that includes both classroom instruction and hands‑on clinical experience, taught on‑site by our Clinical Educators in East Chicago, IN. As a Nurse Assistant Trainee, you will be enrolled in our on‑site Patient Care Technician (PCT) Training Program , designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors needed to safely and effectively care for patients. Upon completion, you will function as a valued member of the healthcare team under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse. Program Commitment St. Catherine Hospital will cover the full cost of the Nurse Assistant Training (NAT) Course — a $585 value — with the expectation that graduates work one year after course completion. If employment ends before the one‑year commitment, the course cost becomes the responsibility of the participant. Employment After Graduation Full‑time and part‑time roles are available after the 5‑week program. Because this is a patient‑care role, no specific shift can be guaranteed . Graduates must be able to work: Days, evenings, and nights Every other weekend Alternate holidays All course graduates are expected to work a minimum of 0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period).
