This dynamic role offers an immediate opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality care in diverse settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home health environments. As a CNA, you will be at the forefront of patient care, supporting medical teams with vital tasks and ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for all individuals. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive environment where patients feel valued and cared for every step of the way. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer methods. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff. Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with medication administration under supervision. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while respecting HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral support strategies. Facilitate patient transfers using proper manual handling practices to ensure safety for both patients and staff. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across various units such as ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or hospice care to deliver comprehensive patient service. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including long-term care residents, pediatric patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient care. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS), CPR, and vital signs monitoring confidently. Experience working in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU settings is highly desirable. Excellent caregiver communication skills paired with compassionate bedside manner to support patients' emotional well-being. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices required to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
