Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring precise medical documentation. Support resident transfer methods safely using appropriate resident service tools and techniques to prevent injury. Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure secure handling of medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Engage with residents empathetically, providing emotional support and fostering effective communication to enhance overall resident experience. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state or relevant licensing authority. Experience operating EMR/EHR systems preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices and manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Excellent caregiver communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining resident confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
