Job Description

Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon (SSMO) Ministries Corporation is looking for a warm and experienced Infirmary Nurse Manager. The Infirmary Nurse Manager leads and oversees nursing services within the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Infirmary, ensuring high-quality, Sister-centered care. This role supervises caregiving staff, manages clinical operations. and supports the mission and values of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon.

Background screening required for all campus employees. Essential Duties Lead and support care giving staff. Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure quality care. Medication management. Maintain Supply Levels. Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary partners. Manage staffing, documentation and compliance. Coaches and develops team members while fostering a positive, collaborate culture. Advance quality improvement initiatives and uphold the mission and vales of the sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon BSN Preferred. 5 (five)years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, geriatric care, or hospice case management. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong leadership, clinical, organizational, communication, and computer skills. Knowledge of long-term, hospice and geriatric care regulations and best practices. Current CPR/BLS certification.
Physical Requirement:
Works in temperature-controlled office areas, but frequently moves through the entire facility, including patient rooms, therapy areas, and common lobbies. Characterized by moderate noise levels with frequent interruptions from phone calls, medical staff, and arriving families. Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods, especially when conducting facility tours or performing building rounds. Ability to lift, push, pull or move at least 50 pounds independently on occasion. May occasionally assist with patient transfers or evacuations, which can involve moving up to 200 pounds with assistance or equipment. Potential exposure to infectious diseases (e.g., Hepatitis B), chemical cleaning solutions, and medical waste, requiring strict adherence to HIPAA and infection control protocols. Requires regular bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling. We look forward to speaking with you about this opportunity.
