1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification. Details Acute Care Hospital unit Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Adult patient population including CVA, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic cases such as hip and knee replacements Epic charting system experience required Requirements Current OT license required if applicable Minimum 2 years of experience required BLS certification required Community hospital experience preferred Experience with adaptive equipment assessment, wheelchair evaluation, and splinting Skilled in home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and patient/family education Additional Information Provide acute care occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning Perform ADL assessments, adaptive equipment recommendations, and pre-discharge planning Utilize modalities such as biofeedback and splinting for adult rehabilitation Support patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and neurological conditions Accepts local candidates at local rate within a 50-mile radius Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
