Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting high school students in a school-based setting near the beautiful Oceanside, CA area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to use your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to make a positive impact across two campus locations, working with a caseload of 43 students with mild to moderate needs. Ideal candidates bring a background in school-based OT services as well as hands-on involvement with IEP processes. If you are passionate about helping adolescents succeed in their educational journey while collaborating with educators and other specialists, this role will offer meaningful, rewarding work.
Qualifications and Experience:
Hold a valid California Occupational Therapist license Previous school-based experience required Experience supporting high school students preferred Solid understanding of IEP development and documentation Able to manage a diverse caseload of students with mild to moderate support needs Comfortable traveling to and working at two nearby locations
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with their IEPs Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and input on student goals and progress Conduct assessments and adapt interventions to meet individual learning goals Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement and engagement Maintain accurate records, service notes, and compliance documentation This is a 35-hour per week position with a consistent schedule that lets you build relationships with students and colleagues throughout the school year.
