Job Description

Adventist Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide compassionate, faith-based, whole-person care. In this role, you will assess functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions that promote independence in daily activities. You will educate patients and families, recommend adaptive equipment, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations using standardized assessments. Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with whole-person care. Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living and independence. Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and adaptive strategies. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members to coordinate care. Document assessments, goals, and progress in the electronic health record accurately and timely. Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications. Participate in case conferences, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
