You'll collaborate closely with educators and families to help learners thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through evidence-based OT services.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Valid Illinois state OT license (or eligibility to obtain) Prior experience providing occupational therapy in school settings strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP process and ability to write measurable goals Collaborative attitude for working with teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Commitment to ongoing professional development and student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students referred for OT services Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with the educational team Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services aligned with IEP goals Adapt activities and modify classroom environments to help students achieve independence Track progress and maintain thorough documentation according to district and legal standards Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to student plans Educate school staff and families on strategies to support student needs Engage in professional learning opportunities and stay current with best practices This full-time, contract-based role offers a dynamic, supportive setting where your expertise will make a meaningful difference every day.
