Job Description

Make an impact as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in an Adaptive Behavior Learning Environment (ABLE) program. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team and provide services for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. With a 32.5 hour work week (8am-3pm, half-hour unpaid lunch), you'll manage a caseload of 34 students and play a key role in their growth and development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current Occupational Therapy (OT) license and registration Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a school-based or similar setting Familiarity with adaptive behavior and supportive strategies for students with diverse needs Skilled in developing and implementing IEP goals Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents to ensure student success Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students within the ABLE program Assess student needs and adapt interventions to support their educational and functional goals Document progress and contribute to IEP meetings, developing individualized plans in collaboration with the team Educate and consult with teachers and families on best practices, accommodations, and modifications Use creativity, empathy, and evidence-based practices to help students thrive in both academic and day-to-day activities Maintain professional standards and ensure compliance with state, federal, and district requirements This is a rewarding position where your expertise directly enriches students' educational experiences and quality of life.
